Why You Should Check Out The Ivey House for Your Wedding!

Alright, if you’re still searching for a wedding venue in Tennessee, you really need to check out The Ivey House in Seymour. I second shot a wedding there recently,  just the nighttime reception, and honestly, it was such a vibe.

First off, the property is a charming old farmhouse that has been updated just enough to retain its vintage feel, while incorporating all the modern touches. At night? The entire place is lit up with string lights, making it feel cozy and romantic. You can dance under the stars but still have a covered space just in case the Tennessee weather gets wild (because you know it can!).

Since I was second shooting, I was able to really focus on the little moments, friends laughing over drinks, everyone singing along on the dance floor, that kind of thing. It didn’t feel stiff or over-produced at all. It just felt real. The Ivey House is perfectly set up for a reception that feels like a genuine celebration, not a photo shoot. (Which you know I'm all about, just documenting, not running the show!)

If you want somewhere close to Knoxville but feels a little tucked away, I honestly think you’d love it. It’s gorgeous, relaxed, and has that classic Southern charm without feeling over-the-top.

A Little About My Wedding Packages

If you’re starting to think about your photography (which, you definitely should! 😉), I offer a few wedding day packages depending on what you’re dreaming up for your day. Whether you’re planning a smaller, more intimate wedding or a full-day celebration, I have coverage options designed to document your story in a timeless and genuine way.

My packages range from a few hours of coverage to a full 10-hour wedding day experience, with options to add second shooters, coverage of the rehearsal dinner, and more. Every package includes an online gallery, professional editing, and a focus on capturing genuine moments, not running your wedding day like a photoshoot.

I'd love to help you find the perfect fit for your day and make sure your memories are preserved in a way that feels true to you.

I would absolutely love the chance to photograph a full wedding day at The Ivey House someday, the ceremony spots, the portraits around the property... it would be a dream to capture it all from start to finish!

If you’re planning your wedding at The Ivey House (or anywhere in Tennessee!) and want timeless, documentary-style photos, I’d love to be your photographer. Let’s chat!
