This wedding day was overcast, and honestly, it was perfect.

Cloudy skies gave us soft, even natural light all day long. The vineyard rows photographed beautifully, and because there are multiple areas with tree cover, there are great options for flattering light even during brighter parts of the day.

We were also allowed to take portraits directly in the vineyard rows, which made for some of the most romantic, scenic images of the day.

For this wedding, I leaned into wider shots than I typically do because I wanted to capture the mountain views and the full vineyard setting for my couple. The landscape here is part of the story.

Harper’s Vineyard is perfect for intimate to mid-sized weddings.

I would say it’s ideal for:

It would not comfortably hold a 300-person wedding, but for couples wanting something intentional, scenic, and a little elevated without being massive — it’s a great fit.

There is a bridal suite on site, which works well for smaller bridal parties. However, if you have a large group, you may want to consider getting ready elsewhere and arriving dressed.

There is not a designated groom’s suite, so in this case, the groom arrived separately.
