Knobby Hill Farm: An East Tennessee Wedding Venue Worth Considering
If you’re planning a wedding in East Tennessee, Knobby Hill Farm in LaFollette, TN is a venue that blends rustic charm with wide-open beauty. I recently had the chance to photograph a wedding here for the first time, and while I’ll be sharing those photos in a few months (after the couple has had time to enjoy them), I wanted to share some first impressions that might help couples who are thinking about this space.
What Stood Out About Knobby Hill Farm
- The Setting: The venue sits on farmland surrounded by rolling hills, giving it a peaceful, tucked-away feel. It’s the kind of setting where natural light plays a big role, which is always a plus for photos.
- Ceremony & Reception Options: From the wooden arbors and cross to the barn reception space, there are multiple ways to make the day feel personal. Each setup creates a different atmosphere, and that flexibility is something many couples appreciate.
- Practical Spaces: The barn includes restrooms, a kitchen, and areas for getting ready, which helps the day flow smoothly without moving between multiple locations.
From Behind the Camera
As a photographer, one thing I appreciated was how everything at Knobby Hill Farm is fairly close together. This makes it easier to capture moments throughout the day without feeling rushed. There’s a mix of open outdoor areas and more structured indoor spaces, which can give variety to a wedding gallery.
Since I’ve only photographed here once, I won’t pretend to know every angle or lighting situation yet, but my first experience was a good one. I’m excited to go back and get to know the venue more with future couples.
