An Industrial Wedding Venue with Flexible Ceremony Options

The Warehouse at Wilson Hill is an industrial-style wedding venue that offers both outdoor and indoor ceremony options, which is a huge win, especially for couples planning winter weddings or wanting a solid rain backup.

The wedding I photographed took place in December, and while the ceremony was held outdoors, the venue also allows ceremonies indoors. This flexibility makes it a great option if you’re planning a winter wedding but still want a beautiful, intentional space. One standout feature inside the venue is the projector walls. The couple chose to project their names on the wall throughout the day, which added such a personal and modern touch to the space. It’s a simple detail, but one that made the venue feel completely customized to them.

Outdoor Spaces & Portrait Opportunities

We were able to take couple portraits outside, which added a really nice contrast to the industrial feel of the building. Across the road from the venue, there was a beautiful willow tree that we were lucky enough to photograph in front of. It added softness and variety to the gallery and is definitely worth asking about if you’re planning portraits.

The outdoor ceremony site itself is very open, with minimal tree cover. Because of that, the light can be a little bright and somewhat challenging, especially during midday ceremonies. The same applies to family photos in that area. That said, it’s nothing unmanageable, just something to be aware of when planning your ceremony time.

A Grand Entrance You Don’t See Every Day

One of the coolest moments of the entire day happened during the ceremony entrance. Since this is an industrial building, the venue was able to raise the large warehouse doors as the bride entered. It created such a dramatic and emotional moment, far beyond the typical music change and walk down the aisle. It’s something I don’t see often at weddings, and it made for an incredibly memorable (and photogenic) entrance.

Seasonal Details & Indoor Atmosphere

During this December wedding, there were Christmas trees set up inside the venue, which added a really cozy and festive feel. Since this was my first time photographing here, I’m not sure if the trees are a standard December feature or something the couple requested specifically. That would definitely be a question to ask the venue if you’re planning a winter wedding.

The indoor space itself is beautiful, with great lighting and plenty of character. It photographs incredibly well and feels warm and inviting, especially for smaller to mid-sized weddings.

Bridal Suite & First Look Notes

This couple chose to do a first look, and there is a small suite available for getting ready. While it works well for intimate weddings, it is on the smaller side. If you have a wedding party larger than five people, it can feel pretty tight, and it did get quite warm during the day. That may have been influenced by the season, but it’s something worth keeping in mind.

The bridal suite is nicely designed, just better suited for smaller groups rather than large bridal parties.

Guest Count & Overall Feel

The Warehouse at Wilson Hill is ideal for smaller weddings. I would recommend it for roughly 75 to 125 guests, possibly up to around 150 depending on layout—but even that may be pushing it. If you’re planning a wedding with 200+ guests, this likely isn’t the right fit. However, for couples who want an intimate, industrial space with personality and flexibility, it’s a fantastic option.

Final Thoughts as a Wedding Photographer

Overall, The Warehouse at Wilson Hill is a really lovely wedding venue, and I would absolutely photograph there again. The combination of indoor and outdoor options, unique industrial elements, and customizable details make it a great choice for couples looking for something a little different.
