Step One: Reaching Out
When you first inquire, I’ll send you details about my Knoxville wedding photography packages, travel fees (if applicable), and the option to add a second shooter. If you’re not sure which package fits your day, I’ll put together a quote based on your venue, hours of coverage, and any extras you’re considering.
Most of the time, I respond to emails within 24 hours, but I always promise to get back to you within 72 hours. If you haven’t heard from me by then, please reach out again — I promise I’m not ignoring you! It just means your message may have slipped past me while I was traveling, photographing a wedding, or deep in editing mode. Email is always the best way to reach me, since I’m not on social media very often.
If you’d like to hop on a call, I usually save that for couples who have reviewed my pricing and are deciding if they’re ready to book. Calls are also a great way to go over specifics once you have a package in mind.
Step Two: Booking Your East Tennessee Wedding
Once you’ve chosen the package that works best for your day, I’ll create a contract and invoice for your retainer. Your date is officially reserved once both are completed—signing the contract alone or paying the retainer alone won’t secure your wedding date.
After booking, you’ll get my wedding photography handbook. This guide is packed with helpful info about planning a photo-friendly day, and it’s tailored to the way I approach weddings here in Knoxville and throughout East Tennessee. I’ll also send you a questionnaire so I can get to know you, your priorities, and your wedding vision before building your first draft timeline.
Step Three: Building Your Wedding Timeline
Using your questionnaire, I’ll draft a photography timeline designed to keep your day flowing smoothly. Most of the time, we can tweak this over email, but if you’d prefer a call, I’m happy to do that too. If your Knoxville wedding package includes rehearsal dinner coverage, I’ll need to confirm that early so I can block off the day before. Rehearsal coverage can also be swapped for a bridal session the day after your wedding—it’s a flexible option that makes sure you get the most out of your coverage.
Step Four: Wedding Day Support
On your wedding day, I’m not just the photographer in the corner with a camera—I’m your teammate and your support system. Need help pinning a boutonniere, fluffing your veil, or moving flowers into the reception space? I’ll jump in while keeping an eye out for those can’t-miss moments.
My approach to Knoxville wedding photography is a mix of candid storytelling and lightly guided posing. I’ll give you gentle direction when the light calls for it, but most of the day you’ll find me blending into the background, capturing real emotion and unscripted moments. The only time I lean into more structured posing is during family photos and a portion of your couple portraits, though even those should feel fun, relaxed, and true to you.
Step Five: Editing & Delivery
Here’s something many couples don’t realize: for every hour I spend photographing a wedding in Knoxville or East Tennessee, I spend 11–24 hours carefully editing the images. If you book me for eight hours of coverage, that translates into weeks of post-processing to make sure every photo looks its best.
You’ll receive a preview gallery of 10–15 images within 72 hours so you have something to share right away. Your full wedding gallery will be delivered in about 2–3 months. If your wedding falls in peak season (spring or fall), it may take just a little longer due to the volume of weddings during those months.
Every gallery comes with instant access to a professional print shop, though you’re free to print wherever you’d like. Just remember that professional labs will give you the best color and quality compared to big box stores.
